Hi! My name is Blue, I’m a Shiba dog.
I live in Nara, the capital of Japan before more than 1000 years ago.
My family member is an orange tabby cat, Umi, means ocean in Japanese.
私は柴犬のBlueです。茶トラのUmiと古都奈良で暮らしています。
I’m an outdoor enthusiast, jogging, camping, traveling…while Umi prefers to stay at home.
Waiting for the postcards I send from my trip and listening to my traveling stories are Umi’s favori
Blueはお出かけが好きで、よく散歩や旅行へ行きます。
Umiは、昔に家出をした時に怪我をした経験があります。それ以来、出かけることが苦手になりました。
One of our happy moments is when we get the vegetable gift from the grandma neighborhood.
These fresh and tasty food growing in her garden inspires me to try the local food in my trip, which I really want to share them with Umi.
Our friends heard my wish, and they helped to make it into a wonderful gift!
BlueとUmiは常に隣のおばあちゃんから自家農園の野菜と果物をもらっています。地元の味がこんなに美味しいのだとよくわかっています。
Blueは旅で地元の味をたくさん楽しんでいますが、この旅の醍醐味をUmiにも知ってほしいです。どうしよう？ 友達の皆はblueの思いを形にしてあげることにしました。
Some of them did research on the local history and culture for designing various figures.
Some of them cooperate with the local farms to get the fine produce.
Some of them discuss with the local food makers to create the proper recipes.
And they did many other works in behind of these….
皆は地元のアイス工場を訪ねたり、Blueの旅物語を聞いたり、各地の歴史や文化を勉強したりしました。 皆の努力で、唯一無二の旅アイスが誕生しました。
Finally, they bring out the wonderful gift——Hi Japan tabi-gelato, made by local people, of local fruits and vegetables, with the shapes of local characters, and the name expresses our love to travel, local farms, and friendship.
